… More EditWhat is Simidude?
Simidude is a cross platform network clipboard and Drag&Drop tool. It runs on Windows (2000,XP,Vista), Mac (Intel Mac with Java 5 which means it runs on Tiger with the Java update and on Leopard) and on Linux.
You would use Simidude, if:
- you need to work at two or more computers or virtual machines and would like to synchronize clipboard data throughout these connected machines.
- you need to copy files or directories between multiple computers and don't have a network share and don't want to use an USB stick.
- you need to quickly copy images from the clipboard to a file.

ShareClip does the clipboard part for free.
Think of it as a Network Enabled ClipBook...
basically allows you to copy and paste between machines/platforms/hosts (virtual machines anyone)... and its also a way to transfer files between those platforms its avalible on
Absolutely awesome. I can easily transfer files between my linux and OSX computers and my windows, and it's the only clipboard sharing program that works cross-platform.
Only two complaints:
* The program handles double-clicking a text snippit - It opens the text in textedit/notepad, rather than copying it. This is only a minor inconvience, as I can then copy the text from this window into my clipboard.
* When doing the above, the program creates duplicate entries of the text, rather than realizing that it's already in the list, and either bumping it, or ignoring it.
