Okay I take it back, Skitch is actually much more handy than Shift+CMD+4. It
not only captures screen grabs, but lets you write and draw on them to better
describe what it is you are grabbing. Then it uploads them to Flickr or their
own image hosting site where you can share and embed them in your lifestream.
This app has earned my respect if only for it's Swiss Army Knife niftyness.
I use Skitch on a daily basis. I am always creating or finding stuff that I
want to screenshot for later either for including in my web stuff or for
manuals. It has become invaluable.
There is also the facility to upload shots to the web to enable you to post
images to forum, blogs etc.
There is also a small screencast to explain how to use it when you first open
it. It's still in beta and at the moment it's free. It's fantastic. Download it
now and have a play.
I absolutely love Skitch, but I often find myself missing a feature like
layers for quick tasks that Photoshop seems uncalled for. If a
"minimalistic" layer feature was added along with the possibility to
draw on a transparent background and deleting multiple entries in the History
tab with one click was added, it would be absolutely perfect.
Also I love the 'smooth' touch Skitch adds when you draw.
This is a classy programme - Perfect for explaining how to do something in a visual manner
the best and user-friendly program for many personal purposes

Very well worth it. Thanks Plasq!
Skitch is really cool tool to show something to somebody. It's fast, it has great drawing-tools and it has a neat twitter-integration.
Amazing tool, it's a MUST have tool for macmaniacs.
this app has great potential. I'm a big fan.
wahts it
Killer app! I also use LittleSnappr, but I kept Skitch as well since it has features missing from LittleSnappr.

This is becoming so useful, works with evernote & allows searchable annotated text which is awesome! so easy to use:D
Skitch is amazing! Best screenshot tool for OSX ever.
I use it all the time. Very Good
Great application if you need to add on to your screen shots, but i use GrabUp.com for quicker screen shots. Skitch is free!
I guess I just don't understand why I need an app to do what a key combo can already do.
