I use this to talk to friends instead of talking through ventrilo or any
other voip program. The sound quality is great (depending on the microphone
quality), and it has never frozen up on me thusfar.
Great chat/VOIP program. Lets you even call landlines (costs money). Tons of
users, support for many devices including the more popular ones like the iPhone,
Blackberry, and even the PSP. It's designed as more of a "only use with
people you know, like friends and family." because there's no
"recommended user" or a good way to network with random people. But
overall the best VOIP program out there.

Actually in 21st century you want voice communication and not typing text all the time ;) Also rather cheap rates for stationary phone calls abroad.
