One of the best under-the-hood addons on win7.
I love this. It's quick and easy, and less time-consuming that having to Print Screen and use an image editing software. With Snipping Tool, I just select the part of the screen I want, and then save it.
Love it in Windows 7.
I seriously can't work without this nifty tool! It does what it needs to do quickly and perfectly. No bloat. Possibly, one of the few nice things about Vista.
There are better alternatives but this app is included in the Operating System's software package and that makes it really special.

It's useful when I want to share something, but it would be even more useful if I could share the snips instantaneously with a website or something.

Not Vista only. Windows 7 also has it.
Microsoft's Snipping Tool.. Designed to let you capture anything on your screen and save it.. Vista only - Bundled.. This is actually very useful.. No longer need add-ons for the same purpose..
I don't find I often need screen captures, but this serves the purpose for me, just fine.
I prefer winsnap, but I use this when I need to graffiti on pictures for tutorials and the like.
I love it and use it daily!
