The idea behind Songbird is brilliant. A music player comparable to Firefox
in terms of customization and ease-of-use. I really like the fact it's open
source, and everyone can contribute to it (even if you're not a programmer) and
the aforementioned customizability. From time to time, it isn be annoying that
it's still in development, because it is still buggy, which can cause it to lag,
or crash.
Overall, to me this is a keeper, certainly because i want to get rid of
Windows Media Player, hate iTunes, and don't really like Winamp.
It's buggy at times, and it's not really intuitive; I mean controlling it is
easy and good, but the interface itself and the performance of moving around it
is kinda... Goofy. Definitely has room for improvement. It couldn't sync up with
my cellphone, I have a Nokia 6280, through Bluetooth, dunno about cable. I do
like the fact I can extend it, as I installed a lyric viewer and stuff like
that, also it has Last.fm native support so that wasn't a problem, and is all
good. It could use with some improvements, also it looks an awful lot like
iTunes, which I don't like. Get creative!
Overall it's pretty good. Though I think I'll stick to Amarok when it comes
out for Windows.
It has some iffy behavior from time to time, but tries really hard to do
something about it. I like it because it's not Winamp/iTunes/WMP, can be used
for scrobbling (with some glitches) and has evolved for good in the last days.
Also, it doesn't swallow as much virtual memory as Firefox or Flock, although it
takes more space disk. And still can't use FF or Flock add-ons, its add-ons are
special. Besides that, is a good browser/player.
Best music player for my tastes on Windows, but not better than Amarok on
Linux. However, some plug-ins are essential if you want to use an MP3 player or
that sort of thing.
I like Songbird, I use Songbird, but still its performance isn't good nor does it boast of features (does bloat of memory usage, but nevertheless).
Its ok, but still very buggy. I do like the new interface over the initial release version. Still prefer itunes as my default media player for now.
Not bad, but a complete memory hog
I liked the product, but if you have a huge library like around...2,000 or 3,000 or 4,000 when I began using Songbird, it would freeze up on me.

Finally supports last.fm!

i tried to like this, but just couldn't get used to it, plus it kept crashing on me. :(
i would love to find an alternative to itunes (grr i hate itunes), but sadly i still haven't found one.
a nice winamp/xmms clone would be nice...
0.6 is a great update, although not perfect yet. Keep up the good work guys!!
Get involved people!!
I've found some pretty cools stuff with this thing. I like it a lot, despite it's never ending bugs and usability issues.
A great music player that works very well as an iTunes replacement. Unfortunately it often crashes, and still having few add-ons availables.
Better than iTunes :)

Has some stuff that's not working properly, but as we use it, we'll make it better, and there's too much to be done. Still, rocks!!
