Yes, I know you're buggy and you look like crap, but please don't ever change Soulseek, I love you as you are.

Old school style right here... but Soulseek can be useful in locating rare materials. Especially when you find a user with a high upload speed. :)

Even after all this time, it still has one of the best user bases for those with a penchant for the more obscure musical offerings available.

Not as relevant as it once was, but still fairly useful and dependable.

Quite buggy, and unpleasant to use, but it does serve its purpose. The best place to search for the most obscure music out there.

The code is quite bad, but even the most obscure music is easy to find.

Didn't quite like it at the beginning, but once I got the hang of it I loved how easy and organized it is.

    Oh Soulseek, dearest friend?

    Where to start?
I've heard from some that it's hard to figure out and "set-up" at first, but if you're used to P2P Applications then it should be a piece of cake for you.
Once "figured out", it's very easy to use and instantly get what you're there for. Talk about variety. It offers just about any "legit" artist or band. Yet it's also great for hard to find downloads. They also have rooms and a chat; a guarentee to find what you're looking for. Also a great way to find new Artists/Bands. (Or even genre's.)

I've been using Soulseek for atleast two years now and I must say It's been the most reliable and useful application, for me.

very good p2p app. great for finding individual songs you wouldn't find on crap like gnutella (eg limewire). torrents are still for albums.
