It's quite useful to display "Webcam error" messages to your MSN/Skype contacts when you cba to actually plug in your webcam or simply just go on webcam. I also like to use it for slideshows to people over MSN. The 'Desktop' thing is great, outputs your screen as a webcam, quite useful at times for demonstrating stuff. It can crash quite a bit every now and then, but its worth using.
I only ever use this if my cam has an error on a program, split cam makes life easy.
