The games that steam offer are great but the program itself could have been
designed better and VAC (to prevent cheating) from my personal experience
usually fails as well.
I love Steam. Any old team fortress fans should check out Fortress Forever -
free mod released at the same time as the Team Fortress 2 beta. Its like TFC
with spiffy graphics and some enhancements. www.fortress-forever.com
Great game content distribution platform. buying off steam removes paying for
the "middle man", usually making games on steam cheaper than in the
store.
has a few issues with downloading files, but still very great.
Steam keeps growing and adding new features to the service. More games are
becoming available through the Steam service all the time, like the newly
popular Bioshock. The current beta of the Steam Community is another great
addition. Counter-Strike still draws a massive player base.
Used to be hell on Dial-up but it's pretty good now, updates are only very
infrequently and are usually small and games can be very easily backed up, the
games are also very cheap.
absoletely lovely

It's good, but it's getting more and more resource intensive to run this. With Steam Community and all... gotta go quad.
i'm loving the new steam community additions. steam started out pretty buggy a few years ago but i'm a big fan now.
Bioshock is a steam game!!!

Simply loving it. My favorite games are available and the prices are cheaper compared to retail with packaging.

the community beta is cool too.

Good games, just put on an annoying platform.
Steam is not only an ingenius method of delivering games to users, but it also helps save the environment!
