Steam is bad software that I am forced to use to play games I payed for but
can't access unless I'm signed on to their Steam server, which is down every
fourth hour of the day. Unbelievably irritating piece of software.
A great program! I don't support non-steam CS or HL2 or anyting like those
games. Steam is protecting well those games against piratism, and pirates
usually have non-steam versions of games.
by far the best game management and online store/retailer out there. only as
of the past 2 years though, i first made my steam account in 2005, and it was
totally useless.
it slowed my machine to a crawl and nothing really worked.
now its become something i cant really live without, the patch system,
content delivery and speed, and ingame overlay are all brilliant.
the UI is a little dull, but it works and is skinnable.
the ability to add in non-steam games is great too.
Community is good idea, saving presets using Steam Cloud, but Steam is very laggy.
Good idea for game service, but It's bad that if you get your acc banned or stolen you lost your games.

It's equal to the app store, only it's for the PC and only sells games.
Easy to use, does everything, has good prices, and top-of-the-line security.
Best!
new icon?! it sucks.
Great!
Even with 12gigs of ram, Steam is still a resource whore, but I have no choice but to use it for many of my games.
It is abosolutly brilliant, I use it all the time to do 'stuff' with my friends and boyfriend, I love steam.
its okay

nice program
:)
One of the few programs I have running all the time. I use it for everything. From managing games to talking to friends, it does it all.
