Sumatra PDF is a slim, free, open-source PDF viewer for Windows. Sumatra has a minimalistic design. It's small and starts up very fast. It's designed for portable use: just one file with no external dependencies so you can easily run it from an external USB drive.

I haven't used this much because I rarely use PDF's but this is an awesome and light replacement for A.R.

Small and fast, but doesn't render everything right. I stopped using it because large files crashed it and graphic elements often looked like black boxes.

As minimalistic as a PDF reader can get. Less than one megabyte! Lacks some keyboard shortcuts. You still get your basic functions like zoom and hop to page number.
