As a freeware it does a useful job. But it is slightly heavy on system resources and shoul;d not be installed on old systems.
i have been using the free one lately and thats great. but the full version is just amazing with all it's features and capability.

This scanner has slowly crawled up to the all-good-SpyBot and used-to-be-good-but-now-is-slipping-Ad-Aware. While it's not too fast and does take quite a lot of resources it's still decent and, according to many users, quite effective (this I've yet to verify, as my machines have been clean, according to several different scanners, for years :P)
The free-for-home-usage version is great for an additional checker as it doesn't provide real-time protection.
Fairly good antispyware. It doesn't detect as many threads as other products, but sometime it is much more effective on difficult infections. Even the free version offers some system/browser settings fix.
Actually a good program, though the name suggests it may not be credible. SuperAntiSpyware actually outperforms SpyBot in a number of cases, so check it out!
