Good software for working with multiple machines with just one mouse and
keyboard. The clipboard copy / paste function between machines can be a bit
finicky - especially when using remote desktop on the remote machines (the right
shift key doesn't seem to work either when using remote desktop on a non-local
machine)

I am not using the screen sharing utility. I have the other Synergy app that
controls iTunes and sits in the menu bar. Anyway of differentiating on

Just installed this on my iMac and my Vista machine, which sit side by side.
I was getting soooo fed up of having to swap keyboard and mouse all the time,
and now I don't have to! Fantastic piece of software!
If you have more than one computer that you use at the same time, this is a
required download. This allows you to share a mouse/keyboard between multiple
computers (Windows/Unix/Linux/Mac).
You choose one computer as the "server" and use that mouse and
keyboard. The other computers connect to the "server" and, after you
set it up, you just move your mouse off of the monitor(s) for one computer
straight on to the monitor(s) of another.
I work from home a lot and have a work laptop, but never use the
mouse/keyboard on it because I can use the ergonomic keyboard from my desktop.
If you only have one computer, then this won't help you at all.
I'm a top user? Well, everytime I want to use my Linux box within the office, it's tracked under Synergy heh...

I have 2 PCs and a Mac Mini running across 4 LCD monitors flawlessly being controlled by a single keyboard and mouse. It's...just...beautiful!
Good program, a little quirky to get it configured, but works great once you do. This is an open source program.
