TeraCopy is a compact program designed to copy and move files at the maximum possible speed, also providing you with a lot of features:

* Copy files faster. TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce seek times. Asynchronous copy speeds up file transfer between two physical hard drives.

* Pause and resume file transfers. Pause copy process at any time to free up system resources and continue with a single click.

* Error recovery. In case of copy error, TeraCopy will try several times and in the worse case just skips the file, not terminating the entire transfer.

* Interactive file list. TeraCopy shows failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only problem files.

* Shell integration. TeraCopy can completely replace Explorer copy and move functions, allowing you work with files as usual.

Awesome little program. I used it to move all my music off one drive 86GB worth of songs, it took a while, but it went without one single error.

I looked for a program specially built for this kind of thing, because I didn't want to run into any errors.

use speedcommander 12 as the file browser, and there goes teracopy.

What a great idea. You couldn't possibly build functionality like this in to the OS, it would be far to useful.

Wow, I've been looking for a program to do this for a long time now. It actually queue's up the transfers so that it doesn't cause the HDD to thrash. The shell / copy&paste integration makes this tool easy to use.
