The 6th most popular system tool on Linux
Terminator is a little project to produce an efficient way of filling a large area of screen space with terminals. The user can have multiple terminals in one window and use key bindings to switch between them. See the manpage for details. Edit

best terminal emulator that perfectly suits my need of multiple(!) terminals opened
Haven't found the need for several terminals on one window, I use just one terminal windows, but I've installed thinking on compiling. It's usefull to have another terminal on the same window if you want to do something else instead of compiling.
Very convenient program
This terminal app is *it*. I love this like no other, splitting the window after you've started one task, to begin another and you can do this in multiple instances until ya run out of screenspace. Threethirty here alerted me to this app and all it's utility and I'm eternally grateful.
It's like old Personal Editor writen by IBM, but in mode command line. When i intalled linux if I can, I install it.
Excellent tool, slower than some other terminals such as rxvt, but much much better than gnome-terminal or even xfce4-terminal. I highly recommend it as it has great GTK integration, tabbing and it's fast with it's own new feature set.
This is the terminal I use in Ubuntu with zsh, instead of regular bash that's default in Ubuntu.
perfect
Probably the best terminal emulator in the world... if you don't have a tiling window manager to boot. :D
Great application!
The greatest terminal! Much faster and usable than gnome-terminal (IMHO). Good integration with GNOME, feature rich.
The best terminal client there is!
Wenisimo!!!
