Nice but I want to get back to Smultron. Not sure there's any gain with TextMate.
The asymmetric nature of Cocoa's version of the emacs key bindings drives me batty when using TextMate for full time editing--great I just C-v'd down a page, now how do I M-v back up? TextMate's project and file interface, its auto-balancing of inserted text, and its snippets are great though. I suspect TextMate offers more than I've been able to extract from it; I just need to summon the patience to get there.
Bought the license after a few hours of usage - that has to mean something!

I suspect this to be textmate, but then started from the commandline...
You don't have to be a programmer or hacker to love this app (although it probably does help). I have forgotten what I used to know about coding, but still find countless reasons to feel glad I bought this. It's my default app for all text files. "My name is alarob and I approve this software."
