The Settlers IV

The Settlers IV is a Real Time Strategy computer game developed by Blue Byte Software, being the third sequel to The Settlers. In The Settlers IV the player can control one of three races; the Mayans, the Vikings and the Romans. In the single player campaigns there is a fourth race, The Dark Tribe. The Dark Tribe are a tribe of slaves and worshippers of a banished god. They burn away all the green of the world and destroy nature infesting the land with gigantic Fungi and horrible constructions. For Multiplayer there is a number of options, there is free empire building against other empires, or a 'free settle' mode, where there are no enemies.

  Overall:

  This game is addictive, for me as 20+, but also and for my younger sister (12).
  It is lovely to watch those settlers build there settlement, and transporting each part they create... so peacefully.
  But yes, you have to conquer. I love this part, because it is as simple as it could be (and if you do so, the game is almost over), so the focus is on creating the perfect settlement.
