The game really starts to unfold itself after a few hours of gameplay. I wasn't sure I wanted to continue the game to the end untill well into Act I, but after that I just couldn't stop anymore :D
There are many flaws to the game, like for example in my game it takes 4-8secs to open inventory which is really alot if you try to herb everything etc.
Also se combat is a tad poorly done, as it's really impossible to switch targets in any mode. It's ridiculous anyway, they should have either made a targeting system and keep the attack style as it is or keep the "targeting" as it is and change the attacks to be swingable without a target and thus actually hitting multiple opponents.
I really like the idea that you have to meditate to brew potions and to use the experience gained :)
The story and the whole world is really great although usage of too "modern" words screws the conversations up.
The Witcher is a classic single-player computer RPG. It has a fascinating world, with intricate magical lore including a potion-making system and many books detailing the world's history. If you like an RPG with an engaging story, The Witcher will certainly satisfy. The combat is also quite good, although it is largely based on real-time combat but with the variety of oils, potions, and magical abilities that can be used there is a lot of potential for strategy. In many respects this game reminds me of Neverwinter Nights, but with more emphasis on combat. The mature content is also a nice change, with dwarves swearing like you'd expect dwarves to swear, and numerous potential sexual exploits. Definitely one of the best RPGs in recent times.
One of the best RPGs I've ever played!
Really awesome RPG game!

Awesome game! The best RPG I ever played! :D
Hard game ... but liw it :d
More interesting than oblivion I think not Oblivion provided me with months of gameplay though still a very well done game.
Even when the dialog seemed naive at first, it turned out to be one of the most interesting RPGs I've played. In some ways more interesting than Morrowind and/or Oblivion.
It's my favorite for almost a month, really like it.
In my most favorite five.
