The 40th most popular productivity on Mac OS X
… More EditTime tracking application TimeEdition tracks your time in a dead-simple and attractive interface that saves your progress to Google Calendar for accessible-from-anywhere results.
Using the application is as simple as entering in customer, project, and task details using the drop-down controls and clicking the Start recording button. Your data is tracked across all projects and can be exported in Excel or iCal format—but the real beauty is found in the options panel, where you can choose to sync your activity with Outlook, iCal, or even Google Calendar.
Unlike the previously mentioned gCalTasks gadget that only runs in the Vista sidebar, this application lives in your system tray—with an easy-access context menu that can switch between projects on the fly.
TimeEdition is free and open source, works on Windows or Mac."

I've searched high and low for a time tracker. There are a million of them. But there was one feature missing - my life is in google calendar and I frequently put my historical schedule in there after the fact as a means of time tracking. Time Edition does this for me automatically and for that it is #1 in my book.
That said, the interface needs some polishing, particularly with respect to 12/24 hour handling - there's clearly some indication of this, but it's not what we expect in the US, perhaps it only makes sense to Germans?
Interface nits aside, Time Edition is a great app and one that I intend to keep using daily.
I read a review of this application on Lifehacker and decided to try it. It's exceptionally helpful. I personally use it to keep track of the time I spend studying (it helps keep me focused) and what I found particularly useful is that it integrates with iCal, Google calendar, Outlook, etc. It allows for entry of tasks and can easily be exported. My only wish? That it would integrate with RTM! :-)
