… More EditTortoiseSVN is a really easy to use Revision control / version control / source control software for Windows. It is based on Subversion. TortoiseSVN provides a nice and easy user interface for Subversion.
It is developed under the GPL. Which means it is completely free, including the source code. But just in case you don't know the GPL too well: you can use TortoiseSVN to develop commercial applications or just use it in your company without any restrictions.
Since it's not an integration for a specific IDE like Visual Studio, Eclipse or others, you can use it with whatever development tools you like.
As a Subversion client, TortoiseSVN has all the features of Subversion itself, including: - Most current CVS features. - Directories, renames, and file meta-data are versioned. - Commits are truly atomic. - Branching and tagging are cheap (constant time) operations. - Efficient handling of binary files.

With this interface I decided to use subversion. Excellent, although I fall into troubles sometimes (I think because I'm newbie in SubVersion). Previous version solved incorrectly the cleanup command, something is solved in the recent versions.
Excellent graphical SVN client for Windows. If you need the command line client (you will eventually) then you will need to install it separately, get it at CollabNet: http://www.open.collab.net/downloads/subversion/

I tried some SVN clients for Windows, even the CLI one, but none of them managed to beat TortoiseSVN in any way, especially its integration with my favorite file manager and WinMerge are excellent. Chapeau!
Atleast it added something really important which core windows is missing. Life without SVN is such a fail. thanks to the superb app.

This is the best SVN Client for Windows EVER ... It's really simple and really easy to understand what every feature does. Plus the simple integration of this with SourceForge It's just something that makes you to really REALLY love it :3
