Ill rather use flashfxp for win
Great little FTP application, no trouble so far and has transferred many GB's without hassle.
Ok, thanks to Wakoopa I just found the FTP program that I wanted Transmit to be: ForkLift.
It works without troubles. Supports a number of protocols including S3, which is a plus.
The lack of a remote-to-remote transfer--using the local machine as a bridge--prevents me from loving this little program. Not a make or break feature, but immensely convenient when you need it.
Has some other neat features like the transparent remote editing of a single file. But this similarly is not generalized enough--there isn't support for transparent editing of entire directory trees.
Bookmarks aren't exposed to spotlight...I could go on and on with the nitpicks. But for the price I certainly can't hold any of this against Transmit.

I've tried all the major clients and I find myself going back to Transmit time and time again. It's absolutely brilliant, the best FTP client, ever.
Best Mac OS X FTP Client hands down.
Transmit was one of the first third-party apps I got when I first got my Mac. It amazed me then, and it continues to amaze me now. While Cyberduck and others are good if you can't spend $20 for an FTP app, they can't compare to Transmit's features, ease of use, and sheer Mac-like-ness.
Not just the best FTP application on any platform, but one of my all-time favorite applications in general.

I agree w/ tijs. I'm also a former Cyberduck/Fugu user and find Transmit superior. I like the droplets and the ability to open files easily (similar to WinSCP on the windows side).
Although it's payed software it's definately worth the price. I've tried both Fugu and Cyberduck in the past and although they have their good point they simply cannot sompete with the reliability that Transmit offers.
