RUBotted is not really anything but a detector of potentially bad behavior on your machine. If you ever get an alert from it, it then asks you to purchase trend micro's products to clean it. This isn't necessary. The alert should be enough to tell you where to look for the offending application. This most often happens when you visit a questionable site with your browser and don't erase the cookies.
It is another layer of detection for malicious code running on your computer. Instead of trying to detect malicious running applications, it just watches your network connections.
