Trillian provides unique functionality such as contact message history, a powerful skinning language, tabbed messaging, global status changes (set all networks away at once), Instant Lookup (automatic Wikipedia integration), contact alerts, an advanced automation system to trigger events based on anything happening in the client, docking, hundreds of emoticons, emotisounds, shell extensions for file transfers, and systray notifications. The forthcoming Trillian Astra supports Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter integration including chat.

much better IM..
Trillian is a very nice program that has kept up to date fairly well with technology IMO. It solves the problem of having a bunch of messengers open using up resources and doesn't have the bloatware that some programs bring a long with them.
I've been a fan of Trillian for a really long time. It's gotten better with every release. Trillian Astra offers integration with Facebook chat and Twitter in additional to the usual IM suspects. Fun emoticons.
Overtime, the features have been piling. I'm running Trillian 4.0 aka Astra and it's a great jump from 3.0. With a brand new interface, twitter, facebook, and skype integrations give it an upper hand compared to it's closest competitors like Digsby.
On the free version, the inability to change themes and colors of the interface renders it almost boring to use. Digsby, which is completely free, allows users to get any compatible theme and be used with program.
Trillian overall is a great all-in-one IM client, there are a few shortcomings for the free version which are covered with the $30 purchase of the Pro version.
Nice set of features. Settings menu could use some tidying up. Integrates clients pretty well, but did experience some problems with Facebook chat...
use it with icq, nice!
use it with icq, nice!
Great multi-IM client for Windows! My only feature request would be to combine contacts from different networks into the same contact card.
Trillian Astra is much better than other versions of Trillian. Worth using until something better comes along.
I used to use Trillian - then I went away to Digsby. Thought I'd try it out again and it's actually really improved with the Astra release. Very good indeed!
Trillian is an easy way to keep everything organized and works like a charm.
Несколько глюкавый, но совершенно точно лучший IM-клиент. Я перешел на него после многолетнего опыта с Miranda-IM.
niceee
I've been using Trillian for several years now and even testing Trillian Astra all the way through the early alpha stages. It's developed into a great instant messaging client.
My only complaint is that there isn't a skin/theme that I feel integrates as "naturally" with Windows as most other applications do. It also hasn't progressed at the rate that I (and many others) would have hoped, but it's very stable.
For the most part, it's the best multi-protocol Instant Messenger that I have found compatible for Windows systems. The GUI is amazing; however, I wish the performance would be a little better than it is currently. Trillian Astra is still a fairly new stable build and way better than it was in private BETA.
