I've been using Trillian for several years now and even testing Trillian
Astra all the way through the early alpha stages. It's developed into a great
instant messaging client.
My only complaint is that there isn't a skin/theme that I feel integrates as
"naturally" with Windows as most other applications do. It also hasn't
progressed at the rate that I (and many others) would have hoped, but it's very
stable.
For the most part, it's the best multi-protocol Instant Messenger that I have
found compatible for Windows systems. The GUI is amazing; however, I wish the
performance would be a little better than it is currently. Trillian Astra is
still a fairly new stable build and way better than it was in private BETA.
best messenger, simple and refined interface, fast, supports everything other
messengers do, version 3.x is the best, latest 4.x is awful if you ask me,
unless someone converts the 3.x skin to 4.x :(
The most complete multi-messenger solution out there. Gorgeous UI, amazing
features, and pretty stable. Astra was released recently, and it simply does not
get any better :)
I've been using the free beta client of Trillian Astra and it's quite nice.
It has all the features of Digsby but with a more solid interface and lots of
nice little touches. I tried the 30-day trial of the premium features, but
hardly noticed when it expired so the free version is fine for me.
I used this product for a good chunk of my internet life. I believe its a
good program, but charging people for 'premium' chat features is not something I
was willing to do. I would rather use Digsby and get all the same functionality
for free without the dated GUI that trillian uses.
niceee

Laggy GUI, Cluttered and unneeded eyecandy and UI. Overall I can't even list what's wrong with this app.
Best multi-client IM out there. Only thing I would like to see: MSN webcam compatibility.

Using it again but didn't like the dodgy sponser ASK sign up routine in the new version... what's that about ?

Its OK.
Trillian Astra is the best for me in usability and functionality.
It's efficient. Wish it had better skins made for it. It can have too many bells and whistles you don't need too.
Just an awesome multimessenger

This an only non-free messenger. This is only a messenger but it's not free!!!

I don't recommend it; Digsby is better.
