TuneUp cleaned up a LOT of my library. Adding cover art and corrected id3 tags on well over 1000 titles. It's great at what it does, however I have to agree with everyone else, it needs some help as far as performance. It also crashes on my machine a lot. I moved my license over to my desktop pc to tag everything because it was sooooooo slow on my mac mini.
A for effort! At first it looks like the ultimate & complete addon to iTunes, but man the performance is like uck...It constantly freezes and messes up overall performance in iTunes. I would really, really love this to work but no way I'm gonna pay 30 bucks for something that's so unstable...
"It starts everytime you run iTunes and there's no option to turn that off. Very annoying." Actually there is a way to turn this off.
I just bought it today, it works pretty good. It sorts out most of my music and gives them album covers.
Performance wise it needs improvement.
I still like it though, keeps the list clean and makes iTunes look pretty with all the covers.
It would be nice if iTunes could do this kind of stuff though.
I bought a lifetime license after trying it for a few days. It needs improvement, specially when it comes to performance. Crashes too often.
TuneUp uses Gracenote as its database, so you are limited to that. It would be nice if you could edit the suggested results and cover, and use other sources.
It starts everytime you run iTunes and there's no option to turn that off. Very annoying.
Being that said, it's one of the best options out there. Hope we have a new version soon that focuses on performance.
cleaned most of my music, does have some errors though - makes my MAc crash sometimes
