TweetDeck is an Adobe Air desktop application that is currently in public beta. It aims to evolve the existing functionality of Twitter by taking an abundance of information i.e twitter feeds, and breaking it down into more manageable bite sized pieces. TweetDeck enables users to split their main feed (All Tweets) into topic or group specific columns allowing a broader overview of tweets. To do this All Tweets are saved to a local database. The far left column will always contain All Tweets. The GROUP, SEARCH and REPLIES buttons then allow the user to make up additional columns populated from the database. Once created these additional columns will automatically update allowing the user to keep track of a twitter threads far easier.

No need to use another Twitter client! I like the TwitScoop integration to see what hot topics are creeping up, in real-time!
Tweetdeck adds new functionality to twitter: create groups within the people you follow. That alone makes it a great app, and more valuable to me than e.g. twhirl.
I use TweetDeck nearly every day. I like it a lot...even when it freezes up. Luckily, that's not as often as it used to be.
awesomeness!
Love it!
its ok.i think twhirl is better
Best twitter client yet. If you follow a lot of people YOU NEED Tweetdeck.
The latest version added TwitPic integration, and a column for TwitScoop, that shows the most-used words in a tag cloud-like way. For not TweetDeck is my Twitter app of choice!
Stupid program… and still does not support Russian letters…
Tweetdeck is the best twitter client , and it is early days yet
TweetDeck may just be the best Twitter AIR app out there today.
A good alternative to Twhirl, because it incorporates Twitter and Summize information, has the colums to keep replies and directs and searches on your screen, but organized.
