The best Twitter multi-client on the Mac. Has all the essential features, no fluff, and all in a non-obtrusive columns-like interface, making navigation a breeze.

Most importantly to me, it's a free (with minimal ads) way to get Growl notifications of various Twitter events, and in my set-up, to get those notifications on my iPhone via Prowl.

Features I'd like to see: notifications when you attain or lose a follower, an non-public way to "flag" a message, i.e. to remind myself to do something with it later (or at just a bridge to send a message URL to a Mac OS X Service), and most importantly, the awesome new features in Tweetie 2 for iPhone such as the custom URL shorteners.

I don't care about the adds. I wouldn't care to drive a great car if they put some advertising on it. Tweetie for mac is a great car to drive in Twitterland.

Quite simply the best desktop Twitter client for the Mac. Really looking forward to seeing the features from Tweetie 2 on the iPhone to be folded into the desktop client. Intuitive, simple and powerful with an elegant design. I really wish there was an equivalent Windows client for when I'm at work, but nothing else comes close.

I never thought I'd enjoy Twitter so much! Tweetie has made me actually enjoy updated on Twitter because it has such a fluid interface that makes updates easy. Now I actually look forward to updating people on Twitter(I used to swear never to update directly on Twitter) But Tweetie actually makes me enjoy Twitter and now I am over that and now can update it directly because of Tweetie. It's amazing and is free and the ads aren't even that bad because they are so few and far between that it's not enough to make me actually buy it lol

Really simple and elegant twitter app, definitely my favourite, and the advertisements in the free version are actually pretty nice and unintrusive, which may have played against the developers a little as I haven't been tempted to buy the full version!

I think the price is high and honestly you don't have any reason to pay for it since the ads aren't that intrusive.

it's my favorite twitter app just because it's native to Mac.
