Just a great and simple application, the only bad thing about it is that you have to change the deinterlace when you are watching .mov files :O big deal.... :D

I keep the portable version on USB in case I get a codec error.

If you're at all minimalist you'd realise that fancy bloated GUIs such as WMP11 are pointless and kind of ugly, freeware apps such as VLC and foobar2000 are made to be functional and efficient, and are usually of higher quality functionality wise.

Although the UI is not pretty it is extremely functional and the player itself will play back any video format.

Uberness. Get VLC Portable and you can play ANYTHING on ANY Windows computer.

Great as a video player, streamer and converter, but not brilliant for Music. Could use some work on Playlisting and ID3 tags. For Video, it's perfection.
