Use it to run Windows XP installed in Bootcamp for work. Quite stable, but
often slow for HD access (I have a 5400rpm laptop drive) compared to a
"pure" VM. Don't like Unity.
Just upgraded my machine - And NOW it works great. Much better than having to
reboot within windows.
Plus, it have the feature to run bootcamp partitions as virtual machines.
awesome.
I use vmware fusion on a black macbook to virtualize windows 7 and xp. very
resource intensive and sluggish. but it will have to do. i am checking out
virtual box lately
VMware Fusion is fantastic. BootCamp was just too inconvenient. VMware makes
the whole process of running virtual machines incredibly simple. No messy driver
installs, just pure virtualization bliss. Also, unity mode is pretty snazzy -
definitely something to show off.
I use VMware mostly for Microsoft Access and Internet Explorer which aren't
too cpu intensive. If your needs are more for graphics and/or gaming, Boot Camp
is probably your most enjoyable option.
Works well on OS X.
Works great with OS X.

Guys, what about parallels? I mean, which one is better in your opinion?
Working well with windows 7. Helps me in my day to day webdev
Runs Windows. Ugh.
Great software for Mac for running Windows! I'm not a Mac user YET but when I am, I am getting this software!
Runs perfectly. I like Unity mode. But it's slow and draggy. Has a lot of space to improve.

VMware's great. Both VMware and Parallels keep one-upping each other, and they both quickly catch up with each other.
VMware also has some cool downloadable, pre-made appliances for linux OSs.
Great performance and integration with al sort of Operating Systems.
The perfect application for virtual test environment.
