The 47th most popular social network tool on Windows
Vox is an Internet blogging service run by Six Apart, which launched on October 26, 2006. Originally, it had the codename 'Project Comet'. The service claims to be more streamlined and easier-to-use than other blogging tools available, like LiveJournal, Blogger, or WordPress.com. Its design has features often associated with the Web 2.0 trend; much of the praise and criticism applied to Web 2.0 also applies to Vox. Vox is written in the Catalyst MVC Framework. The service is more focused on social networking features than other blogging platforms. Such features include the ability to set permissions on who is able to view each post and a friends list on the sidebar. While other social networking sites offer blog functionality as an additional feature, blogging is the main focus of Vox.… More Edit

Hmm.. this isn't right. I don't use the Vox blogging thingy, or any blogging thing at all, but I do have a program on one of my computers which gives me the option to send and receive faxes (on the computer) through my Webvox ISDN modem (something I hardly use anymore)
Vox looks clean and the in-site video and photo embedding is really nifty, but since there's no such thing as cuts like in Livejournal, long entries stretches the page too much.
vox is pretty good. good choice of layouts. love that you can keep up with all the movies, music, and books you read. that is why i hang onto this account. i don't like the fact that there is little customization in the sidebar and it is really confusing to navigate to change things.
here is my vox blog:

Most of the interface I have with VOX are entries carried over from other applications though imbedded links. I find the online interface lack if seamless interoperability as compared to other blogging and social networking sites does not inspire me to return. This, combined with its not working with MS LiveWriter, leaves it in the background with the hope it will improve.
Cleaner then Friendster...
I just took a look at a VOX page..
Not a replacement for Pownce... yet.
Vox is pretty good but it feels a little sluggish sometimes.
I used to use vox. I like the layout but I've moved on with this blogging site.
Vox is a really fun personal blogging site with features like Vox hunt and Question of the Day. But if you don't have a Vox account, you see a lot of ads. I hate ads. Ads suck. But you get what you pay for.
