One of the many things i used when i got my first computer when i was a wee lass. It never let me down.
When it comes to low memory usage while still being able to utilize all your favorite features in a media player, Winamp is it. While there are clearly many other contenders out there, I'd have to recommend this for anyone with a slow/ancient computer like me. It's ridiculously simple to use, too!
My favourite media player but that's probably only because I'm used to it. I used itunes for a while but hated it, so I'm back to winamp now my ipod has stopped working anyways.
Best player for music, quite good for vieos as well. Extensible, but I dont think theres need to do so :)
This application has become too cloated since version 3 and upwards. Better use foobar for music.
Winamp is the only media player I really use and with plugins in can do just about anything.

I love this media player. I've loved it for years, and there's only one other media player I'd use, Foobar2000.
Looks great, plays music nicely, just needs a faster interface.
Does what I want it to do most of the time. Plays music and videos, good tag editing, but unorganized settings/options menus. Buggy at times.

Im sorry to ruin the party guys but WinAmp totally sucks...i had installed to give it a week....to see if id like it. But i found it annoying, not well laid out, hogs my CPU and the skins have a really ugly interface. If you want a lightweight media player with serious functionality, then try VLC. My top media player is WMP11 though....i cant stand iTunes either....if you want to sync your iPod in media player....go to google and type Dopisp Plugin.
