I use it to share folders with y friends

Exchange files between computers. Set and forget. I sync all my photo's between my personal and work computer. Great tool if you know how it works.

I don't know how to use it.

I tried several sync services in the past. The problem with most of them is that they would first cache sync to internet servers before downloading the files to another computer. Since I have tons of music and family photos, It took forever to copy files to other computers because it all went through the internet connection, killing my bandwidth. With Live Sync things are different, it replicates files and folders through your LAN at blazing fast speeds. I installed on both my laptop and my wife's computer so that we keep our family photos folders replicated when we download pictures off our digital cameras. Although they still have a few bugs to work out, Live Sync is definitely a keeper for me, and it's free!

I love this thing, works like a champ to sync my files across my home desktop and laptop that I take to work. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Glad MS did not kill this project. When on the road, I can access computer at home for my files.

I used this until it was replaced by Windows Live Sync. A great little tool to sync files to multiple machines without having it stored anywhere in between. I currently use Live Sync to manage over 50GB of MP3s on 4 different machines. Works like a charm.

We use this instead of a central server structure. We are a virtual company with 30 or so employees and it works perfect for all our company files and even the marketing folder which grows by leaps and bounds on a daily basis.

This software is an easy and effective way of managing all documents, pictures, videos, music and all your documents between several computers, and it works! What I like about Live Sync is the way your documents are managed and synced, placeholders for files that haven't synced, so if you need the file it can be synced instantly, and it just runs in the background. No heavy garbled bloated software, just a simple interface.
