Love the streaming options in version 11 (on Windows 7).I can stream my music
though the internet, or by to another computer in my LAN. WMP is way liter than
iTunes too. But can't MS combine the Zune and WMP software together? The Zune
interface is way cooler.
Fácil de usar y bastante bien integrado. Aunque con los ciertos molestos e
incomprensibles detalles típicos en aplicaciones integradas en Windows. Windows
Media Player es el ideal para el usuario que desea sentarse al computador a
escuchar su música, sin entrar en los detalles "misteriosos" que al
usuario experimentado le encantan.
I've tried using this media management software for my music, video, and
picture libraries, but it always seems to fall short of it's goal of be all, end
all. Great program for beginners and novices though. I use iTunes for audio,
Adobe Bridge for picture stills, and old school folder management for videos
The Classic Media Player that many began to use years ago because it came
with their computer. Windows Media Player has always been a favorite of mine,
even going through many different incarnations. (I still think it's peak was
WMP9). It still is very functional and easy to use for most people, and it's
integration into the shell allows quite a few easy playlist options, ones that I
have a hard time wanting to use with other programs. It's interface has never
been the easiest to use, but it's definitely not hard to get where you need if
you look long enough. WMP 11 can stream music around a network and across the
Internet, as well as looking alot better in the process. However I still find
that easy methods of looking up the length of a playlist or building as you go
to be a little more difficult in this version. Out of the Box support for other
media formats is rather low but is up and comming on newer versions of windows,
more support for DVD encoding would also be an improvement. Even so I still find
it a strong contender for a good player, and will continue to use it, if not
always, most of the time.
It's pretty good for organizing large collections of songs, but not very
feature-enriched. Nonetheless, I don't see any other reason to go download
another media organizer. The Last.fm plug-in is also a great plug-in.
I wish this program would leave my thumb drive alone, keeps scanning and
indexing the files and/or media on it.
Also wont leave my massive itunes music alone, keeps adding at least 5
hidden album art items to each album which is easy to clean but is something I
shouldn't have to do.
I have had to move my music folder to a different HDD and removed all the
options and monitored folders but still keeps wanting to scan for media and add
it to it's own database, even if I delete the database files.
Slow at playing DVD's if it doesn't come up with some error message first.
Sorry but this isn't one of my favourite media players (actually wouldn't
even be in my top 5 - not that I have that many media players)
Tiene las funciones y opciones básicas de un reproductor de audio/video.
Incluye ripeo de audio CDs y uno de los mejores ecualizadores dentro de la
competencia, incluyendo varios presets.
Es el indicado para el que no conozca mejores opciones, es decir, usuarios
básicos.
There are several things WMP 11 lacks: out-of-the-box format support,
easy/robust ID3 tag editing, custom views (i.e. multiple libraries) or file
conversion etc. But Windows Media Player does several things right. The Media
Library interface is something I prefer to everything else in the market -
Songbird, iTunes, Winamp included. Install the relevant DirectShow
splitters/codecs (namely the Haali and FLV splitters plus ffdshow for decoding)
and you have stability, slick interface and general ease of use. It's not
foobar2000 or MediaMonkey (superior solutions in their own right), managing Sync
lists can be a bit wonky but it's still a great, workable piece of software.

Simple and efficient!

Great multi-purpose media player, although the auto-identification of USB drives can be annoying.

will it be useful for some day? - it does most things strange to me and every other used foobar200 for example

Ele é muito mais simples, funcional e intuitivo do que seus concorrentes: Winamp, VLC, Real Player, etc.
is my favorite player, the way it displays the library is awesome unlike itunes, etc.
