The 8th most popular editor on Windows

Windows Movie Maker makes home movies amazingly fun. With Movie Maker, you can create, edit, and share your home movies right on your computer. Build your movie with a few simple drag-and-drops. Delete bad shots and include only the best scenes. Then share your movie via the Web, e-mail, or CD. Using third-party software you can even take movies you've made and turn them into DVDs. You can also save your movie back to the video tape in your camera to play back on a TV or on the camera itself.

Windows movie maker is a bare bones video editor that works but is not very user friendly. In the time that I used this application I found it to be very unstable and not that user friendly.

Not great, but not bad. This is more for the basics of video production.

Barebones video editor. I didn't even know I still had it installed until I needed to do a bit of quick editing. I'd still never use it for anything more than that.

The application itself is fine, though sometimes there can be crashes. The worse thing for me is no support for .mov video files. I'm gonna not convert them just for Movie Maker!

Decent program for novices trying to make simple movies. My biggest problem with this software is the bugs. Doing larger movie editing, it tends to crash at will. This is too bad, because otherwise it could be a great piece of software.

Doesn't support or acts wonky with formats I normally use (like avi, mov). It has frozen on me a few times. It's pretty basic...like Paint is to Photoshop. It's fine if you're into making slideshows, though.
