It's great for basic editing, but if you want to do cool things, you should use another software.

I used the Movie Maker on Windows and it just sucks
I love it, and prefer this version than the Windows Live Movie Maker. I actually have installed this on my Windows 7.
dose the job for simple vid editing.
I like using this software, it has basic video editing tools and effects, you don't need to be a "know it all" to use this software.
One thing I dislike is that in Windows Vista and Windows 7 there is no option to record from your web cam which is a real let down. I would also like to see more integration with Windows DVD maker that is on Vista.
The video files take too long to render and sometimes it can have a negative impact on system performance.
Although Windows Movie Maker is not rich in features but its simplicity and ease of use makes it one of my favourite software. I have edited and compiled many movies using this tool and till date i could not find another video editor that matches Windows Movie Maker in its overall efficiency of work.
I use this software quite a bit. As I use windows and do not have a spare 2-300£ around I just use this and have made some very good movies with this software!
It's okay for a free video editor. But it's no Sony Vegas.

its ok, cant beat free, ive not used it a ton though
I use it to only capture video from my DVCamcorder :P
