One of the first things I do on a new XP/Vista installation is to disable the
Security Center notification. It's a simple process and there is no reason to
whine about it.
MS needs to stop defaulting to stupid stuff. Disabled this program. I run
ThreatFire as the Anti-vir, No Firewall, and have automatic updates, so there is
no reason to be alerted if I do not have something installed.
annoying as hell, disabled it some time ago
(for those that might not know
control panel > security center > "change the way the security
center warns me" (something like that) > uncheck everything)

Apart of the Operating System.. I disable my UAC in Vista to avoid lots of popups etc.
