Blah!
It's alright, I guess. Nothing too special, but does add a bit of customization to your own personal PC, but is always lacking...like it could be better.
Win 7 implementation makes more sense. S
Resource hog, yes, slows down your computer, yes i know, but i like Sidebar and some of its gadgets. When i'm bored looking pictures in Slideshow relaxes me a lot.
Its ok.. Uses alot of resources.. Kinda slow & weird in my opinion..
I really like the side bar in Vista and find it useful. Very cool.
I don't know. It's interesting but useless.
I like it, you really need good computer though otherwise it'll slow things down too much. I like using it to monitor my CPU, Networks, Clipboard and more.
Its a good feature, but slows down your computer.
I have just tried to use it, and it stopped working.
But i do like it :)
I like sidebar enough to keep it on, but the most worrisome feature is the technology gadgets are based on. They should be XAML-based applets but instead are DHTML web pages (wtf?). They're also quite limited in what they can achieve, but apparently there are some hacks to get around this so I may spend some time in the future (re)investigating them as a development platform.
My favorite gadgets are the weather, currency conversion and two third-part ones from Addgadget.com CPU Meter and Network Meter. Those two are super handy for checking the usage of system resources; I recommend them highly.
its a good feature u can access hundresd of widgets. i mostly use rss reader, clock and calendar
It's wonderful way to look at stuff at the side of the desktop, but I find the CPU usage excessive even with only 5 widgets.
I managed to hack the vista sidebar to work on XP, and without the hundreds of megabytes of ram used (it only uses 80!).
It's better to get the (few) good features of vista in XP rather than upgrading.
I love my DesktopX. Sorry guys =P
Having gadgets on my desktop makes me happy...especially the VooDoo doll.
