Mainly use this to keep an eye on memory hogging programs, like Firefox with a shed load of tabs open.
The default application manager for Windows. I suggest looking into "Process Explorer" by Sysinternals

(it can be configured to be called with CTRL-ALT-Del -> Task Manager too ! )

Shouldn't have to use it as much as I do. Oh well. Gets the job done, gets it done fast. Can't complain. Pulls through 80% of the time.

Use it a lots to terminate & relaunch explorer.
I think Process Explorer is a lot better than Task Manager but the latter is quick to access and already available on all Windows systems.

I think it's strange that this is there as a program. But well, it is very useful though.
Gathers various performance and system information, and lists running tasks. Good for killing troublesome tasks and just checking out what all is running on your computer. Would be nice if it used less CPU itself though.
