Fantastic program. So simple to use. Kind of a blessing in disguise that it hasn't been updated in a long time. That means feature creep never had a chance to kick in.
It doesn't automatically start encoding. Just make sure that you click on the start button. That came back to bite me a few times...
I recommend this encoder. It is the best I have used.
