I rarely use this and something happened which changed my default RTF
program. Polyedit is a much better RTF program for quick and dirty writing.
This just seems to different.
This is a horrible, horrible program. I only ever use it as a last resort.
It's "better" than notepad, but that's not much of an accomplishment.
If you're actually using this for any real word processing, do yourself a favour
and get OpenOffice.
WordPad is actually a really great, simple and fast editor that can handle
your basic formatting like font, size, bold, italic, centering and bullet points
(and even ruler adjustments). It's not meant to be a word processor, but can
handle the simple stuff, and as such I use it all the time to write notes for
programs I'm working on. It's fast and you probably already have it.
Useful when you have freshly installed Windows again. However, I wouldn't
recommend it for anything other than text. I do mean just text, not code like
for example PHP.

notepad DOES have a search & replace function.

Its certainly not the ideal word processor, yet it can handle a larger text file which notepad can't handle.
It's like notepad but better :]
Good and quick.
most used file to edit files, better then text

On one end is Notepad and the other is MS Word. I use Wordpad for its search and replace function on TXT files, something Notepad lacks.
id rather ms office than this...
