This is a great concept; It is a way to install (X)Ubuntu on your existing
partition (without wiping your existing hard drive partitions). It makes is
exceeding simple to install linux (Ubuntu).
The other comments about this not being linux are just plain wrong; A full
Ubuntu installation is done, and Ubuntu is a Debian distribution which *is*
Linux. This installer simply creates a file to store all the linux stuff much as
you might re-partition your drive. It does all this, and sets up the boot loader
(to load the loopback filesystem) so you can multiboot into linux easily. There
are even tools to take this linux installation (all contained in a single file)
and move it to real disk partitions. The real downside of all this is disk
performance; But that *may* not be a practical issue for people.
