This is my favorite server package for testing the scripts. Before this i used Denwer, but it has some troubles with Unicode

How to use it for WWW?
for windows, if you have cc-cleaner or similar "cleaning" tools its wise to "exclude" the 'x:?/xampp/htdocs' directory'
Still wondering why their developer used *.tmp extension for lang files.
You must use this if you have any sense!
