xplorer² is what windows explorer should have been. Unlike explorer, xplorer² allows you to browse more than one folder at a time, using tabs and dual panes. Sorting out and copying files becomes a breeze. You can navigate your shell namespace quickly using favorites, clickable paths (breadcrumbs), easy access to root folders, a tree and a bookmark pane etc. You can even save and restore folder groups whenever your workflow deems necessary.

xplorer² browsing model scales up well to large folders with thousands of files. It reads fast, offers visual filters and a variety of selection mechanisms that allow you to manage your files effectively.

Good double pane explorer for Windows which is also freeware in lite version.

I've tried this software before, but I don't think it's worth $30. I haven't had any problems with the default Windows Explorer, so it'd be silly to replace it.

i love this software. i hope that they work more on the interface. it looks somehow old.

A dual pane file manager (with tabs) and support for showing directory sizes (ctrl-d) is so much more useful than file explorer.

With this and a replacement shell (litestep) I have stopped using explorer (almost) all-together.

This software rocks. I usually install this as soon as I begin working on a new computer.

    Hi charlesroper ,

Saw you're using X2 instead of Windows Explorer. Is it worth the money or can I grab it somewhere? Explorer works fine here but I hate the old structure way it handles files and stuff.

This is a superb file manager that has almost a lifetime of features to discover. Xplorer2 is one of those rare apps that are constantly surprising you with its capabilities. Highly recommended.

yeah, tabs and dual panes rocks. would be great if it could be portable. and the bookmarks could be saved somewhere.

good times for all!!! great program.....when/if it freezes, it does not take down the rest of my comptuer like WIndows Explorer did (which it did very often)

Not gonna need Windows Explorer ever again. :)

This is the sort of app. which becomes more and more useful the longer you have it. Easy to use, but full of advanced features.

    非常棒的软件,我认为是最好的资源管理器的替代者!

    一直在用它!

This is the best file manager on Windows. I've used it for a long time, ever since it was a freeware.

This latest commercial incarnation is well worth the price. Being a heavy bittorrent user I need this tool to organize all my thousands of files.
