For me it's mostly remote Wireshark through Putty X-forwarding.
Now it's "GVim and xfterm4 inside of cygwin", thanks to cygwin ports, to power of XFCE inside windows!!! :D
for me it's "GVim inside cygwin"
Xwin for me generally means "emacs inside of cygwin"
