Yahoo games it's a pretty good web app which has been on the web for many years.
Pro's

[2] A large variety of games
[3] Use to have a big community
[4] Tournaments
[5] Vintage pool and chess, are pretty good still
Con's
[1] You need flash and java script which is not so fast for all the machines out there therefore it's slow.
[2] It's outdated and look's like 1998 webapp
[3] Many many bot's (robots playing chess especially)
[4] Slow to load or fails completely from time to time
Similar Webapps will be miniclip.com with an interesting spectrum of games
