This is absolutely excellent for manipulating and combining RSS feeds. Wish they would update it for newer technologies and as a full middleware web solution, but as it is, it offers a great deal of value.
This is an extremely powerful tool. An excellent way to create basic filtering applications without any coding. The sharing of pipes makes it a lot easier!

Excellent tool, just need to get my head around it, sometimes it doesnt quite do what I expect it to do, but using other yahoo things, such as YQL with it makes it a powerful tool indeed

Great idea - nice for simple things, but it's probably easier to write complex things manually in your preferred language than work out how to use it!
A great way to process feeds for various different purposes. While not as powerful as developing a full-fledged application of some sort, Pipes has enough power to do 90% of any possible task involving different styles of feeds and data.
I like seeing the gears behind some mashups, and there's always something new. I like that for any given site, there is a pipe. I prefer tarpipe.com , but yahoo pipes have the big community and extendability.
