Yahoo! Widgets is a free application platform for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. I prefer these widgets (instead of Google's or Vista's) partly because they are small. But they are not available under Linux. :(
I use a few widgets all the time.. I'm lost without them.

eh... cool.. :/
I run it solely for two widgets-- but those two widgets are two that I could not live without.
As for performance, I've never had any trouble with boot speed or bugs.
I like desktop with it :)
The only thing I like from Yahoo. But it can still be annoying sometimes.
