YaKuake is inspired from the terminal in the Quake game: when you press a key (by default F12, but that can be changed) a terminal window slides down from the top of the screen. Press the key again, and the terminal slides back. It is faster than a keyboard shortcut because it is already loaded into memory and as such is very useful to anyone who frequently finds themselves switching in and out of terminal sessions.… More Edit

love it :D
the best
is very util and fast for have a shell in every moment
best terminal emulator so far
Great terminal emulator, which it is just there when you need it. The only functionality, it is lacking, compared to Konsole, is sending keystrokes to multiple sessions.
No 1.
Excellent terminal emulator for KDE desktop environment, no need to start Konsole every time. And also it supports different themes.
When the developers add a "session restore" feature yakuake will be imbatible!
amazing!
great one, i love it
Pure awesomeness! Overall 5 stars from me!
The usability its the best!Bring the better of the command-line and visual world together!
It's the best thing for the command line literate user who frequently opens and closes a command line window.
Simply "must have".
Five stars all the way! Powerusers will have fast access to all their favorite command line tools, and beginners can learn the command line quickly as it's always available and easy to access.
A must-have!
