Hello all :)
新年快乐!
Happy New Year!
@marjoleink Thanks for your reply. And I do like your sense of humor.
@Louis, your English is much better than my Mandarin (I only know a few words, like 'wang ba'!), so no need to apologize!
I agree that IdentiFox should coexist with TwitterFox. The way to accomplish that is to either grab the code and do it yourself (it's GPL!), or ask uncryptic to do it - I think it's actually planned, but the more people ask for it the more likely it will happen. :) Do tell him about FFFox.
Sorry for my poor English, I don't know whether I've put my opinion across.
@marjoleink Thanks for your advice.
But why not amend the IdentiFox to coexist with TwitterFox? Then it will be more acceptable I think. In China the most popular microblogging service is FanFou(饭否 in Chinese), and there is also a TwitterFox clone extension named FFFox, but the difference between them are FFFox can coexist with TwitterFox.
@Louis, yes, there is a TwitterFox clone called IdentiFox, which you can get here: http://www.bitbucket.org/uncryptic/identifox/src/ (scroll down a bit for the .xpi file). It is written and maintained by http://identi.ca/uncryptic (James Polera). It works quite well, but unfortunately it doesn't coexist with TwitterFox; if you spend most of your microblogging at identi.ca that is no problem, of course. :)

Is there a firefox extension like TwitterFox?
NEWS:
Today a new version of the laconi.ca software was released (0.6.3) with lots of new goodies. Most notable (IMO): people tagging. If you go to your Profile, you can access your subscribers and subscriptions lists from there: in those lists you can add tags to those people; in your Settings, you can add tags to yourself (for instance: interests, location).
Check it out!
I'm currently running my own Laconic server at http://linuxninjas.tv. I'm following a lot of people on identi.ca. A few on amry.twit.tv and a couple others on their own laconica server. I post from IM, Email and Web. Once in a while I post through identispy.
I use gtalk and hellotxt to update my identi.ca .
Just so there's no misunderstanding: ALL users of ANY Laconi.ca-based microblogging service are welcome here - identi.ca, of course, but also TWiT Army, and any of the others I don't know the names of.
Spread the word, and invite your contacts to join!
