The robot itself is powered by a nxt brick which communicates to my computer
using bluetooth. I run a perl script which connects to the computer to the nxt
brick. The perl script decides which actions the robot should take, by pulling
tweets down, using the twitter::net module on CPAN.

I will say, I am not a programing mind. But what is the Design Team's goal? It doesn't seem to be clearly stated.
Well when you say your using twitter how are you "Fetching" the data? Are you using perl to fetch and process the data or are you using a php?
I made a robot, programmed in perl and powered by twitter...any one have an idea for how else it should be controlled, like based on how many positive twitter messages there are, or something?
