I lol'd because they are banning (legal) software. SO NOU.
@Fresh Live
I don't see why you lol'd. It's technically possible for Windows to contain spyware (in the most literal sense) and you'd never know.
If the US government convince security software vendors to ignore FBI spyware (http://is.gd/k3fY) then is it so absurd to be paranoid about closed source software from a country that they view as less than friendly?
The bottom line is, for absolute trust in software there must be complete transparency and only Open Source, self-compiled software provides this.
FYI, Russia is doing something very similar: http://is.gd/hajA
"In an effort to rid every computer in the country of the American-designed Windows OS, the Cuban government has banned the software and created its own Linux-based operating system."

I lol'd when I first heard about it.
Windows > Cubuntu
Windows 7 is the shit.
Please, forgive my earlier outburst. I'm now using Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (Service pack 2), and shall do so until Windows 7 is released.
Thanks you I'm very happy. I was total surprised, when I saw my new wakoopa level... ? (Expert) :) Happy new year !!!
happy new year!
Hooray for us!
Thx for your compliments and Happy New Year 2009 too! ;)
新年快乐!
Happy New Year!
Vista Ultimate
How could you people play GTA IV!? With that DRM crap on it! And, I'm a Windows 2000 user, and shall be a Windows 2000 user until July 2010, at which time I shall "upgrade" to Windows Server 2003!
I personally like both of them; Windows XP for its VM-ability and Vista for the UI, new features, and general experience.
If I remember right, the first windows I ever used was Windows 95 but my first computer had 3.1
For my opinion, Windows XP is best Microsoft Operating System. ;) Windows Vista is too exaggerated... ;/ and low functional.
My first Windows was Windows for Workgroups 3.11.
