About Aaron Traffas
| Bio: | Aaron Traffas, CAI, ATS, CES, is a first-generation auctioneer from Sharon, Kan. He began his career in the auction industry while in college in 2001, when he began developing systems to better handle the auction merchandise and ever-changing inventory. Aaron has been involved with every aspect of the auction business, and is proficient in many different development languages and environments including XHTML, CSS, Perl, PHP, MySQL and Linux. He is currently supervising web site expansion and systems development and using his expertise to build a custom, Internet-based clerking and cashiering platform. Aaron is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and Kansas Auctioneers Association. He has received Certified Auctioneers Institute, Auction Technology Specialist and Certified Estate Specialist designations. He co-taught the NAA’s Auction Technology Specialist course in April 2008 and will co-teach the ATS in Baltimore in November. Aaron will also be teaching at CAI in Bloomington, Indiana, in March, 2009. Aaron is an active singer and songwriter, and when not at work or evangelizing the use of standards-compliant websites to the auction industry, can be found playing original alternative country music at shows across the Midwest, both solo and with the Aaron Traffas Band. |
